Oklahoma State's Chris Marlowe Named Newcomer of the Week

IRVING, Texas --Oklahoma State pitcher Chris Marlowe was named the Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Week Monday, making the second consecutive week a Cowboy player has earned the honor.

The junior from Spring, Texas earned his first win as a Cowboy after coming in as relief for Oklahoma State in the series closer against New Mexico. In his 4.2 innings of relief, the right-handed pitcher allowed just three hits, struck out four and didn’t allow an earned run in the win over the Lobos

Marlowe becomes the second Thunder player named Newcomer of the Week after Gabe Weidnaar received the award a week ago.
