Cade Davis, Keiton Page Named to Academic All-Big 12 Team

NORMAN, Okla. – The OU and OSU basketball teams announced Thursday that Cade Davis and Keiton Page have been named to the 2011 Academic All-Big 12 Team.

First-team members are required to record a 3.20 GPA or better, and a total of 12 athletes earned that honor. Another six were named to the second team, which requires a GPA between 3.00 and 3.19.

Davis is a human relations major from Elk City and is the senior on the Sooners’ squad. He is second on the team in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals. He has made 166 career 3-pointers and needs four more to join the top five on OU’s career list.

Page is a physical education major who was selected as one of the Cowboys’ captains. He recently became the 34th player in OSU history to score 1,000 points in his career, and his selection to the Academic All-Big 12 Team marks the 13th time in the conference’s 15-year history that an OSU player has been on the first team.
