NORMAN, Oklahoma – The 2010 Preseason All-Big 12 Team was announced Thursday, and the University of Oklahoma tied Texas for the most players selected with six.

Three Sooners on each side of the ball were picked: Ryan Broyles, DeMarco Murray and Stephen Good on offense, and Jeremy Beal, Travis Lewis and Quinton Carter on defense. Broyles was also picked as the league’s top punt returner, giving OU seven positions on the team, the most of any school.

Beal and Lewis were both unanimous selections, joining Nebraska’s Jared Crick as the only such picks. Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson was selected as Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Von Miller and Crick tied for Defensive Player of the Year.

The Texas Longhorns also had six players selected, with five of them coming on defense. Lineman Kyle Hix was the only offensive player picked, joining defensive lineman Sam Acho, linebacker Keenan Robinson and defensive backs Aaron Williams, Curtis Brown and Blake Gideon.

Oklahoma State and Iowa State were the only two schools with no players selected.
