SHREVEPORT, Louisiana -- Oral Roberts rebounded from back-to-back double digit losses in a big way sweeping Centenary 13-5 in the suspended game from Saturday and 19-1 in seven innings in the series finale Sunday. Even though the Golden Eagles won both contests, the Gents still maintain a slight advantage in the league standings.
Game 1: Oral Roberts 13, Centenary 5
The Golden Eagles built a 4-1 before the game on Saturday was halted due to wet field conditions. ORU picked up where it left off when the game resumed on Sunday.
Oral Roberts was able to extend its lead to 7-1 in the sixth on three consecutive singles and a sacrifice fly. Centenary would make things interesting plating four runs in the latter half of the inning.

Tyler Saladino went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored.

Oral Roberts went up early and often scoring runs in the first five innings, including an eight-run third on five hits and two Gent errors.
Centenary would go on to plate one run in the fifth frame. The Golden Eagles lone mistake resulted in Coland Mansfield, who reached on a fielding error, crossing the plate to give the Gents their only run.
