STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State pitching dominated Iowa State in the Sunday matchup to earn a 4-0 and stay undefeated in conference.
Kat Espinosa (15-3) went seven innings, only surrendering six hits, walking one and only letting five Cyclones (22-19, 1-5) move into scoring position at any point in the game.
The Cowgirls (36-7, 7-0) put three runs on the board in the bottom of the first with two outs. On the second pitch she faced, Tamara Brown singled up the middle to bring Mariah Gerhart home and move Julie Ward to second. In the next at-bat, Megan Castle singled to right to score both Brown and Ward.
Both teams remained quiet until the sixth, when Chelsea Garcia hit a sac fly to right field to advance Graham and Castle. Castle would score on an error by the second baseman during the same play.
Rachel Zabriskie (18-11) received theloss in the matchup, going all six innings for the Cyclones.
OSU is back in action Wednesday in Tulsa against the Golden Hurricane.
