OKLAHOMA CITY -- After his team posted an .818 winning percentage in February – amounting to a 9-2 record and the best individual month in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s brief history – head coach Scott Brooks was named NBA Western Conference Coach of the Month.
The Thunder opened February with seven consecutive wins as the team exploded on offense, averaging 104.4 points per game.
Oklahoma City opened the month of March as the sixth-best team in the conference, boasting a 35-23 record.
Brooks, previously a 10-year NBA veteran, took over as head coach of the Thunder in November of 2008.
