BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane drop a 63-55 decision to Alabama-Birmingham on the road.

Larissa Williams had 16 points while Taleya Mayberry finished with 14.

The Golden Hurricane (6-7, 0-2) took an early 5-4 lead but that was the only time TU was on top. UAB (8-6, 2-0) used runs on 9-0 and 10-5 to take a 42-24 lead into the half.

TU was down 60-53 with 1:12 to go but could not close the gap.

Jala Harris had a game-high 22 points for the Blazers.
