TULSA, Oklahoma -- Larrissa Williams had a game-high with 20 points to power the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to a 62-39 win over La Salle.
Taleya Mayberry added 13 points and Jermaine Kermis recorded nine points and pulled down a personal-best 13 rebounds.
Williams started the game with a jumper with just 16 seconds ticked off the clock and put six points on the board in just the first 65 seconds. TU went on a 22-8 run in the first 10 minutes for a first-half high, 14-point advantage. The teams traded baskets and the Golden Hurricane took a 34-21 lead into the break.
Tulsa continued to build on their lead, going on an 11-2 run that spanned the first seven minutes of the second half and reached a game-best 25-point advantage with just 1:16 remaining to play.
The Golden Hurricane (2-0) will face Florida Gulf Coast and Akron in the FGCU Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 27th and 28th in Fort Myers, FL.
