Grief Counselors Offered At Tulsa Elementary School After Principal Dies

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Public Schools Superintendent announced Monday that Peary Elementary School Principal Donna Ferrell has died. Details of her death are not known.

Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard released a statement saying Ferrell was with the district for more than fifteen years. Ferrell started as a teacher in 1994, and served as a principal since 1999.

"Our condolences go to her family and the faculty and students of Peary Elementary in this time of great sorrow," Ballard said in a statement.

Counseling services and support are being offered to students and faculty.
