BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- Broken Arrow Police are looking for a 23-year-old Tulsa man wanted in connection with a shooting early Friday morning that left one man dead and another wounded.
Officers were called to the 800 block of North Butternut around 3 a.m. They were flagged down by someone in a car leaving the area. The driver said he had two shooting victims in the car. One was is in critical condition.
The man in critical condition was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to Broken Arrow Police, preliminary information indicates the Mario Phenix was waiting for his ex-girlfriend to arrive home. When she arrived, Phenix confronted her and two men that had given her a ride home. During a argument, police say Phenix pulled a handgun and shot both men.
Following the shooting, Phenix fled in a dark blue style Chevy Caprice.
After being taken to a Tulsa hospital, one of the men was treated and released and 20-year-old Nicholas Martin of Tulsa was pronounced dead.
Police say Phenix is considered to be armed and dangerous.
