TULSA, Oklahoma -- A former Tulsa police officer received a deferred sentence Wednesday in two drug-related charges. Travis Ludwig pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
He received five years deferred sentence on both counts.

Ludwig was arrested on September 23, 2009, when police say they found cocaine and a scale in his duffle bag. The officer was under investigation for timesheet discrepancies and used the duffle bag to clean out his patrol car.
His attorney initially claimed a suspect had hidden the drugs in Ludwig's car.
