Deputies Arrest Man, Search For Other Suspect In Delaware County Home Invasion

DELAWARE COUNTY -- A man was shot during a home invasion Sunday in the Tijuana area of Delaware County, according to the sheriff's office.

When deputies arrived to the scene, they say the homeowner was shot once in the chest. The victim was taken to the hospital by life flight. He was listed in good condition.

James Douglas Elam was taken into custody. Deputies say the other suspect, James Austin Herbeck, is still wanted for questioning.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office has not released the name of the victim. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations.
