Sales Of American Flags Soar Ahead Of Holiday Weekend

TULSA, OK -- One of the most popular ways to show your patriotic pride is by flying the American flag.

And Liberty Flags at 56th and Mingo has lots to choose from. While most folks buy a three-by-five flag, other flags, like the "Don't Tread On Me" flag are growing in popularity.

And this time of year business is good.

"There's certain events in history where people are feeling a lot more patriotic," said Charlotte Jones, Liberty Flags. "The Fourth of July really is a patriotic season, and so most people will come out and buy a flag to replace one that they've flown in the past or first time people who are buying a flag will do that."

Charlotte Jones said business is up more than 6% over last year.
