TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police arrested 35-year-old Andrew Davis in Tulsa on a warrant from North Carolina after a hit in the national DNA database called CODIS, linked Davis to a rape in Asheville in September of 2001.
Asheville Police would not comment on the case, but the warrant shows Davis was wanted for first degree rape and first degree burglary.
Police say they received the hit from the database on March 4, 2010. Tulsa Police say Davis has been living in the Tulsa area for several years. He has a felony conviction in Mayes County.
He is currently being held in the Tulsa County jail.
