TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Habitat for Humanity helps families who are in need become homeowners.
They use volunteers and donations to build affordable housing. However on Saturday, volunteers were demolishing a home instead of building one.
The home, located in the 3000 block of South 138th East Avenue, was donated to Habitat for Humanity, but had some foundation issues, so the group decided to start over.
Nothing will go to waste. Habitat will resell the materials.
"If you're fixing up your house, you can come shop at the ReStore and you might find that treasure that you're just looking for. If you're having a job done to your house, someone's remodeling your house, if you wouldn't mind, we would love to take your donations from that, anything that is reusable," said Larry Vitt, Facilities and Properties Manager.
All of the profits from the Outlet Store go back into the program and help Habitat build more houses.
