TULSA, OK -- Tulsa police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a Tulsa Chase Bank Branch Saturday morning.
The robbery happened at about 11:30 a.m. at the Chase Bank Branch located at 5307 East 41 Street.
Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say the suspect waited in line and then approached the teller, demanding to have cash put into his gray bag. The suspect threatened that he would hurt the teller if the teller did not comply, according to police. When the suspect got the money, he fled the scene.
Officers say the suspect was seen driving away from the bank in a white Isuzu smaller SUV with Texas license plate 561 SYZ. The vehicle is described as a small SUV, possibly a Isuzu Amigo that looks similar to a Geo Tracker. The vehicle was seen traveling westbound on East 41 Street from the bank.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white man, 5'04" to 5'06", weighing 130 to 150 pounds. He was seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt under a plaid overcoat, blue jeans and black with white stripes tennis shoes. The suspect has an unshaven face that had gray stubble. He is described as being between 35-years-old and 45-years-old.
This is the second robbery of a financial institution in Tulsa for 2010.
