SASAKWA, OK -- Residents in one tiny Oklahoma town have gone without water, for more than a week.
Officials in Sasakwa, a town near Ada say the problem started during the freeze earlier this month.
The cold temperatures broke a number of residential water lines, which drained the city's water tower.
The town is so small; it only has one person working in the water department.
The faucets in town are either completely dry, have a small trickle or spit out brown water.
"We either drive to Wewoka or Seminole and it cost us $20 to do laundry and a good $10 in gas," said Natalya Puntka, resident.
The water needs to rise to a certain level in the tower for the system to maintain itself.
If any clear water does come through, the water manager is asking residents to only use what's necessary.
If things go well, city officials say the water in Sasakwa should be back to normal in three more days.
