Police Investigate Oklahoma City Murder-Suicide

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police say the deaths of two people at a northwest Oklahoma City motel were the result of a murder-suicide.

Police Sgt. Gary Knight says detectives think 22-year-old Luis Miguel Avendano of Louisiana shot and killed a woman in a room at the Best Western Memorial Inn and Suites before shooting himself.

Avendano's hometown was not immediately available.

A housekeeper found the two bodies Tuesday afternoon.

Oklahoma City Police say they think Avendano and the woman were involved in a relationship but have not released the woman's name because her family has not yet been notified. They say it does not appear that the woman was forced into the hotel room against her will.
