TULSA, OK -- A local murder victim was remembered Saturday with a special dedication.

A bronze statue was built to honor Michael Houghton. He and a co-worker were kidnapped and burned to death in the trunk of a car in 1987.

The two men responsible for their deaths were arrested and tried, but Houghton's parents wanted to do something to honor their son's life and his love of running.

The Tulsa running community helped the family raise money for the statue and a scholarship fund in Houghton's name.
