TULSA, OK -- One man is dead after crashing a motorcycle into a dump truck on U.S. Highway 169 in Tulsa overnight.
Tulsa Police say three motorcycles were heading northbound in the 1400 block of U.S. Highway 169 at 2 a.m. Thursday.
One of those motorcyclists lost control and ran into the back of a northbound dump truck, catching his motorcycle on fire.
Police say 29-year-old Antonio Jones was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers closed all north- and southbound lanes of the highway after a member of Jones' family began running through traffic.
"The family member of the driver that was killed was notified and showed up at the scene. So we were also dealing with them because they were pretty upset at being made aware that he was killed in the accident," said Tulsa Police Captain Bret Bailey.
Police say that family member was taken into custody for running into a crime scene.
The family has set up an account at the Bank of Oklahoma to raise funds to help pay for Jones' burial.
Donations will be accepted at any Bank of Oklahoma location.
