Tulsa Bicyclist Hit By Truck

TULSA, OK -- A woman was seriously injured when her bicycle was hit by a truck in Tulsa on Saturday.

The collision occurred about noon near 4100 W. Admiral Boulevard. Police say the woman on the bike failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit.

She was hospitalized with serious injuries after her head slammed into the truck's windshield.

Officers are stressing caution for those headed outdoors.

"Anybody who's going to go out jogging along the street or bike riding along the street, please be aware of your surroundings at all times," Tulsa Police Cpl. Phil Snow said. "Know what's going on behind you, beside you and in front of you."
