FAIRLAND, OK -- The former police chief of Fairland has pleaded guilty to federal counterfeit charges.
William Ray Moore entered his guilty plea in Tulsa federal court Tuesday morning.
Moore was caught on a Vinita Walmart surveillance video back in October, passing four $100 counterfeit bills while in uniform.
Investigators believe Moore took the counterfeit bills from an evidence locker.
Moore faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Formal sentencing is set for July 27th.
