TULSA, OK -- Billions of stimulus dollars will be available to develop alternative energy projects. Tulsa County wants to know if people are willing to use alternative energy.
Tulsa County is interested in your opinion when it comes to the topic of alternative energy.
To get involved all you need is an internet connection.
Log on to TulsaCounty.org, click on the "government bar" and when the drop down menu appears click on "public information."
Three options are listed in the Tulsa County Energy Survey. One for residential property owners, one for commercial property owners and a third for alternative energy businesses.
The goal of each ten question survey is to provide some insight into the level of interest by Tulsa County in alternative sources of energy. It will also help gauge the likelihood of job creation in this area.
Tulsa County Public Information Officer Terry Simonson believes this information will be helpful when it comes to writing grants and understanding how often alternative energy sources aren't due to lack of funds.
"How many businesses say we turn away accounts because they can't afford what we do? They get it; they want to use it they understand the energy credit and the energy savings but they don't have the dollars to make it happen. Is that what stimulus dollars are for, or is that what private dollars are for? We don't know but I think it's good to be prepared," said Simonson.
