TU Women Fall To Rice

HOUSTON, TX -- Larrissa Williams led TU with 27 points in the Golden Hurricane's 62-56 loss to Rice on Friday night.

The Golden Hurricane fell to 6-19 on the season and 2-11 in Conference USA.

Williams also had 10 rebounds, and Chanice Scott added a career-high 10 points.

The Owls climbed to a 13-point lead in the first half, a deficit TU couldn't overcome, especially with 37 percent field-goal shooting.

Maudess Fulton led Rice with 16 points. 

TU will play at 2 p.m. Sunday at Houston.
