Former OU Student Charged In Gun Case

UNDATED -- Former OU student Michael Childers tried to explain his actions on Facebook shortly after he was accused of holding a professor at gunpoint.

Childers wrote: "Relax, folks. This is post-Virginia Tech paranoia at its worst. I am a peace-loving goblin."

On Tuesday, prosecutors charged Childers with kidnapping and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

He was arrested on Friday in Broken Arrow, and was taken back to Norman on Tuesday.
