Small Fire Damages Tulsa Nursing Home

TULSA, OK -- A small fire caused minor damage at a Tulsa nursing home Sunday.

The fire at the Maplewood Care Center, 6202 E. 61^st St., was reported about 6:20 p.m.

Crews found a fire in a clothes dryer and were able to contain the damage to one room, Tulsa Fire Capt. Michael Baker said.

Residents closest to the fire area were relocated to another wing, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters ventilated the laundry area, where smoke was heaviest.
