Tulsa Library Commemorates 80 Years Of Bookmobile

TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa man helps celebrate 80 years of the Bookmobile.  And, there's even a picture on display to prove it.

The Tulsa City-County Library is hosting a special exhibit called "Bookmobile: Past, Present and Future" where you can learn how it has evolved over the years.

Dr. Jack Griffin, on Friday, talked about his first experience at a Bookmobile.  He even remembers his grandfather driving him to town in their 1929 Model-A.

"It was kinda a dream come true, you know.  And, while we had a few books, but nothing that compared to that, obviously," said Dr. Jack Griffin.

The library's exhibit will be on display through the end of the month at the Central Library near 4^th and Denver.
