UNDATED -- A salute to the Marine's birthday became a battle of schools across the state.
The Marine Corps is using its 233rd birthday to launch the Birthday Brawl Statewide Pull-Up Challenge.
Eight schools from across the state accepted the challenge, including Broken Arrow, Union, Claremore and Jenks in our area.
The students of each school did as many pull-ups as possible.
"It's our birthday today so we're trying to bring a little healthy competition. Get them up on the pull-up bar. I'm actually really impressed; nobody's done under 10, that's pretty impressive. Pull-ups aren't as easy as you'd think," said Cpl. Drew Hendricks.
The Marines tell us the totals aren't in yet, so they're not sure which school can claim to be "Warriors of the Bar."
