More extreme heat is in Oklahoma's forecast for the next couple of days. Monday's high temperature is forecasted to be 105.
It has been just about a year since we've seen that number in relation to our weather in Tulsa.
The Tulsa Heat Coalition met Monday to discuss the weather outlook and plan for the possible opening of cool stations.
Newson6.com will have more information on that when it becomes available.
Meanwhile, EMSA says to reduce the danger that comes with the high temperature. People should reduce outdoor activity if possible, which includes exercising in the heat of the day. Stay well-hydrated with water.
Limit caffeinated beverages and alcohol, which can contribute to dehydration.
Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and consider visiting a library, indoor shopping mall, community center or church you don't have air conditioning.
Meanwhile, Monday is another ozone alert day for the Tulsa area.
The Department of Environmental Quality ordered the alert for Monday. It's the fourth ozone alert in the last five days, with Thursday, Friday, Saturday and now Monday all having alerts.
The declarations are predictions that concentrations of ozone are approaching levels of concern, especially for those with heart and lung conditions, such as asthma.
