Assault Prompts Arrest

What started out as a routine stop in the 900 block of North Quaker, turned into a scuffle with Tulsa Police officers.

The incident happened when a records check showed the suspect had no driver's license.

As officers tried to arrest him, the suspect got into a fight and also tried to eat some marijuana he had on him. EMSA was called in and the suspect was taken to a Tulsa hospital to be checked out.

The unidentified suspect now faces charges of drug possession and assaulting an officer.
