The Red Cross office in Tulsa says illness is impacting northeast Oklahoma's blood supply.
Communication director for the Red Cross office in Tulsa, Jan Hale says they have seen a 25 % drop-off in blood donations due to illness and donor's inability to fulfill appointments. Because of that, the Red Cross says the region's blood supply has been severely impacted, especially O negative and B negative blood types.
If you can donate blood, the Red Cross is asking to stop by their two centers in Tulsa, 10151 E. 11th Street and 7158 S. Memorial or call the call the Red Cross at 1-800-GIVE LIFE.
