Voters in Muskogee sorted out a smoldering dispute on Tuesday. Firefighters were pressuring the city for an 8% raise, but they'll have to settle for 3%.
Muskogee residents voted down the raise, after the city said it didn't have enough money. A federal arbitrator disagreed, and the city sent the issue it to a vote.
The firefighters' union says an 8% raise is well-deserved.
