A cold front was expected to bring sharply colder temperatures to Oklahoma, followed by a gradual warming trend.

The National Weather Service said Monday night would be mostly clear and colder with a slight chance for scattered showers in the far southeast and lows ranging from the upper 20s in the northwest to the upper 40s in the southeast.

Tuesday is to be sunny and cool with afternoon highs from the mid 50s to the mid 60s.

Clear skies are forecast again Wednesday with slightly warmer afternoon highs in the 60s to lower 70s while overnight lows are to fall into the mid 20s to mid 30s.
