Tulsa Police have released the name of a man who was struck by two vehicles and killed early Thursday morning. It happened around 5:30 am in the 5700 block of East 91st Street, near the entrance of Hunter Park. Police officers say the man, Benjamin Branston, 26, was wearing all dark clothing when he stepped out from behind a guardrail into the street.

Police say a woman hit Branston with her car, and then drove to a nearby apartment complex where she called police. The driver told police, she was not sure if she had hit an animal or person. Tulsa Police say during that time, Branston was struck a second time by a delivery truck.

Another witness told Tulsa Police they saw the victim hitchhiking in the street shortly before the accident.
