Auction Benefits Grief Center

A group of local artists are hoping people will open their hearts and wallets. On Sunday, more than 25 acclaimed artists offered up their work for a fundraising auction for the Tristesse Grief Center. The auction was held at Claussen Studio and Gallery, located at 1519 E. 15th Street in Tulsa.

The Tristesse Grief Center is a place where grieving families can share their feelings, cry and be comforted after the death of a loved one.

"They also learn healthy ways to cope and grieve,â€ Lisa Roth of the Tristesse Grief Center said. â€œThen the main thing is that there's hope and that people learn how to reinvest in the future."

The Center is a non-profit organization, and counseling is offered to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
