A small plane crash in Montana claims the life of two former Tulsa residents. The couple had just moved to Baltimore and were returning from their honeymoon. News On 6 anchor Omar Villafranca reports now, their family is coping with the loss.
Rusty Doshier married the woman of his dreams, Sue Crews, last month in Tulsa.
"I haven't seen my mom that glowing and that happy in such a long time," Sue’s daughter Molly Redyke said.
The happiness was short lived. The newlyweds died in a small plane crash this month on their honeymoon. During the tough times Sue's daughter focuses on the good memories.
"I think the main thing that I will miss is just seeing her smile," said Redyke.
Molly says her mom never met a stranger and loved spending time outdoors.
"Her biggest passion in life was probably horses. She had her horses, she got to go horseback riding, she got to come out everyday and see them," Molly Redyke said.
Molly loved to sit and talk with her mom in their backyard. During those talks mom sometimes turned into an English teacher.
"I told my friends yesterday that they're going to have to correct me whenever I say had went when it's had gone, and I'm going to need them to do all those little things that she did that only she can do," Redyke said.
Molly's now a mom herself. Even though her son will not grow up with a Grandma she wants baby Parker to know Grandma did love him.
"Since I got so much time with my mother, that I can write down the memories and gather the pictures, all the pictures that I have, which will make him feel as if he knew her," said Molly Redyke.
Sue's family says they plan to donate to several of Sue's favorite charities in her name.
