A Tulsa media group picks an appropriate location to host a forum on next week's river tax vote in Tulsa County. The Tulsa Media Alliance hosted the event at a RiverWalk Crossing restaurant in Jenks on Tuesday. KRMG radio's morning host Joe Kelley moderated the event.
State Senator Randy Brogden, who lives in Owasso, represented the "No" side. Tulsa County Commissioner Randi Miller spoke for the "Yes" side, saying it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
"Have you heard of any other regional effort in the near future that will keep our children and our grandchildren here? That's what it's about," says Randi Miller.
"They always talk about the 42-mile long master Arkansas River master corridor plan. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not it," said State Senator Randy Brogden.
