LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) _ Louisville football player Willie A. Williams has been dismissed from the team less than 24 hours after being arrested on a marijuana possession charge.
Louisville assistant sports information director Rocco Gasparro said in a statement that Williams has been dismissed for violating terms of an agreement he made with athletic director Tom Jurich before being admitted to the university this fall.
Louisville police spokesman Phil Russell says Williams was arrested Wednesday after being stopped for driving a car with the music playing too loud. Russell says a detective searched the car and allegedly found Williams trying to hide a small amount of marijuana.
