Tulsa To Play 1,000th Game In School History

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- When the Tulsa Golden Hurricane host Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday it will be the 1,000th game in school history.<br/><br/>TU began play in 1895 when the team beat the Bacone Indians.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- When the Tulsa Golden Hurricane host Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday it will be the 1,000th game in school history.

TU began play in 1895 when the team beat the Bacone Indians. No score of the game is recorded.

The Hurricane are 543-429 with 27 ties overall. They're 291-135-14 at Chapman Stadium.

Kickoff for Saturday's game is 6 p.m.
