DENVER (AP) _ The Denver Broncos waive veteran tight end Stephen Alexander Saturday and sign converted tackle Chad Mustard for the second time this month.

Alexander, a former Oklahoma standout, was one of four tight ends on the Broncos' roster last season when he caught 18 passes, including two for touchdowns, as he split tight end duties with Tony Scheffler.

Alexander had been hampered by a calf injury during training camp and had been listed as questionable for tomorrow's game against Oakland.
