ALVA, Okla. (AP) _ Testimony resumed Friday in the murder trial of a Woodward County woman accused of killing her missing 6-year-old son with a report the boy begged his grandparents to let him live with them in Florida.

Katherine Rutan is on trial in Alva for first-degree murder of Logan Lynn Tucker. Logan disappeared in June 2002 and hasn't been seen since.

A document prepared by Rutan's father, Ron Cathcart, says two months before Logan disappeared he asked if he and his younger brother could live with the grandparents. According to the document Logan said his mother told the children they would have to live with someone else.

Cathcart also testified that in late June 2002 Rutan said the state Department of Human Services had taken Logan and she was to meet with DHS officials.

Cathcart said he tried to contact DHS in Oklahoma because the day Rutan said she was to meet with them was the Fourth of July.
