New Fire Station Open For Business

A new fire station is open for business in Tulsa. Station #9, at 112th and South Yale, was dedicated Tuesday with all the bells and whistles. <br/><br/>Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor was on hand for the dedication.

A new fire station is open for business in Tulsa. Station #9, at 112th and South Yale, was dedicated Tuesday with all the bells and whistles.

Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor was on hand for the dedication. She says the new station was strategically placed in an area that had been lacking for a long time.

â€œThis one was really sorely needed,â€ said Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor. â€œWe've seen the amazing expansion in this part of our city and the density which residential areas and commercial areas have developed. We are glad you all will be on the job.â€

Some fire runs in that part of town had been taking up to nine minutes, this new station cuts that in half.
