OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney plans a campaign stop in Oklahoma City later this month. The former Massachusetts governor will appear at what is called an "Ask Mitt Anything" gathering. It will begin at noon in the David L. Boren Student Union at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center campus.

Former Congressman Ernest Istook, who's helping with Romney's campaign, says the August 14 hourlong event is free and open to the public.

Istook says it'll be a great opportunity to hear Romney in an informal setting that will cover a variety of topics.

This is Romney's first stop in Oklahoma City and his second visit to Oklahoma during his presidential campaign. Romney appeared at a campaign fundraiser in May in Tulsa.
