We’re still watching a cool front to our north that will slowly move southward across the area over the weekend, but it appears the front will stall somewhere between Tulsa and the Red River. Our rain chances will increase beginning Saturday afternoon and evening, but our best chances of rain and thunderstorms will on Monday. We should also have enough clouds around to keep temperatures below 90 degrees.
At the same time, a tropical system will move out of the Gulf of Mexico and into Texas and Louisiana. This system shouldn’t move very far north, but it could get close enough to help increase the chances of rain for our friends in southeastern Oklahoma.
With chances of rain in the forecast through Wednesday, it looks like we are going to make it out of July without reaching 100 degrees. Summer is not over though, so as they say, “Stay tuned!â€
Have a great weekend!
