LAWTON, Okla. (AP) _ From now on, all men's and women's athletic teams at Cameron University will be known simply as the Aggies.

The NCAA Division Two school in Lawton Monday dropped the word ``Lady'' from its five women's teams so they'd have the same moniker as the five men's teams.

Athletic director Jim Jackson says there's no distinction between ladies and gentlemen in athletics, and it's no longer appropriate to keep the ``Lady'' designation in the team names.

Jackson pointed out that the men's teams are not called the Gentlemen Aggies.
