IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Big 12 says senior associate commissioner and chief operating officer Dan Beebe will serve as interim commissioner after the resignation of Kevin Weiberg.
Weiberg is stepping down July 15th for a job with the Big Ten Network.
Big 12 board chairman Harvey Perlman says the board appointed Beebe during a conference call and authorized the board's executive committee to search for a new commissioner.
