WOODBRIDGE, Va. (AP) -- Police in Pennsylvania have arrested a suspect in a triple killing Sunday in northern Virginia. According to Prince William County police, a gunman shot five people at a child's birthday party Sunday. Two men and a woman were killed. Two others were wounded, one critically.
Five children in the house at the time were unharmed.
Police in Virginia notified authorities in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, that the suspect may have fled to his sister's house there. When they tried to question him, he climbed out a window and onto a roof but later surrendered.
The suspect is identifed as 39-year-old Anastacio Sanchez-Miranda.
Police in Virginia think the intended victim was the mother of his children. She was in the house at the time of the shootings but was not hurt.
