LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Rose Bowl officials are scheduled to meet Thursday to consider a possible lease to have University of Southern California play home football games at the Pasadena venue.
USC senior vice president and general counsel Todd Dickey says the Trojans will move to the Rose Bowl for next season if stadium operators offer them an acceptable deal.
Dickey says USC remains open to a compromise that would keep the Trojans in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, their home since 1923. But USC and the Coliseum Commission have so far not been able to agree on terms for a new lease.
USC has offered to spend $100 million to renovate the Coliseum if its commission will give the school control of the stadium, including naming and broadcasting rights. The commission has rejected the offer.
