OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Rodeo star Cord McCoy of Tupelo remains in serious condition after being kicked in the head by a horse at the State Fair Rodeo.
McCoy suffered a fractured skull and swelling when he was kicked after being bucked from his horse during the saddle bronc event.
His father, Denny McCoy says the prognosis is favorable, but it isn't known whether there is brain damage.
Cord McCoy is expected to remain in intensive care for four or five more days.
McCoy won the IPRA all-around championship in January at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City.
