MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ A 40-year-old Muskogee man is dead after being hit by a Union Pacific train in Muskogee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Charlie Len Shipley was killed Thursday when he stepped in front of the northbound train. Shipley was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries.
